Selfie - One Step Closer

Beautiful self portraits are mesmerizing to look at and are preserved unforgettable memories. Some support a theory that selfies can raise confidence by manifesting others how “astonishing” you are.

Selfies seem to be this generation’s treasured vogue of self-expression.

Self-image provides self confidence and believe that boosts the inner spirit towards self recognition.

Selfies attract more attention and more comments than any other photos, and our friends and mates insist us to take more pictures by adoring, liking and commenting it on social media.

There is no reason why people post selfies but it’s important to ask why anyone bothers to look at them.

In this sense, the selfie is the perfect medium: it is an easy way to brag yourself by serving a proof of an exciting life, exceptional skills and ability, quirky happenings, personal beauty and attractiveness.

It is suggested that people have an inbred instinct to assess themselves in comparison with others. Comparison motivates them to think how we can improve ourselves so that we get stimulated inside. Thereby pushing others also to think from their own perspective which ultimately demonstrates our self improvement.

It can be categorized as narcissism if excessive need of admiration occurs which eventually disregard the others' feelings, and starts inability to handle any criticism because it focuses towards a sense of entitlement.

There are set of concepts which are might possibly positive. But actually, unfortunately, is not so hopeful. Those apparently post selfies appear to have lower self-esteem than those who do not.

Selfie is instant self-image (anywhere,anytime).

It’s a state of mind which has become a culture now. It’s a set of habit which eventually leads to the part of living.
The lonely, isolated or insecure people find their companionship on social media platforms thereby keeps them busy.
It’s proved to be a boon to those who need proof for their secret mission e.g.
You are on moon
All alone
How people will believe you ?
If you had a picture of yours
You need selfie as a proof ๐Ÿ˜‰

It can be figured as attention seeking perspective which targets communication, popularity, archiving, and entertainment purposes. Also observed that spent a lot of time looking at social media selfies is connected with negative body image thoughts among young girls and women. They feel self obsessed. Now a days it has become a tendency to study how to click a perfect selfie which includes the angle, styling, attire and editing.

A newly married woman and three of her family drowned in a reservoir after trying to take a selfie, said police in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu;BBC News. Coming to the dejection of self images people risks their lives for clicking a perfect selfie. They are in need of taking an extraordinarily picture which can boost their social status on social media or they can brag it with their relatives or friends. Risking life proved dangerous only just to reveal how well off you are ! This can give you overnight fame or you can become a star but that can not be applicable to those who does deadly stunts since it can be a way of earning to them.

Apart from injuries, fatalities and tastelessness people focuses more on clicking rather than enjoying the beauty of the place they have gone to or the beautiful or sad situation they are in. Even they don’t bother about others feelings and emotions while alienating poor; they just click and announce to brag.

Selfies also give instant make up and glow to a dull face. People join the race by attaching it on social media. Fake and real faces can’t be recognized over the net and phone. They are not accepting themselves as they are because of not acceptance or rejection in the society because of their looks. And so forth they take the help of selfie image editing. But if you want a family picture, you can snap a selfie and you don’t have to beg anyone else so that you all fit in the same image.
