Animals— The Untold Pain

 

Origination of the universe gave equal virtues and privileges to the entire living species and human beings. Humans are supposed to be kind , loving, diligent, patient, fair and prudent towards their own community and with regard to the animals too. Connection between humans and animals is considered as ‘affectional’. The bond connecting the two can be taken as substitute not necessarily the consideration.

Domestication appreciated the trend. Animals like dogs and cats are kept out of belongings. Livestock are reared to produce labor and commodities. For their security, well being of pets are necessary.

Other side of the coin narrates a different kind of story. Raising and killing animals for food is cruel and so decreases the total amount of righteousness in the world.If there were no demand for meat no one would raise and kill animals for food. Therefore, if everyone was a vegetarian, the total amount of goodness in the world would be higher. Consequently, everyone must be a vegetarian.

It is morally inaccurate. In this sense, it is the violation of animals rights because humans have the power to dominate and use them. These speechless creatures don’t have any court to appeal against humans nor they can raise their voice against them.

Human behavior towards animals is totally selfish. How can a human with so called brain and conscious can enjoy eating a similar soul and a living being ? The surprise goes beyond the thinking when people eat raw and live animals without even cooking them. Don’t know till when human appetite will end up.

Savage example, in India during festivals, animals like goats, elephants are sacrificed only to please the deity to fulfill unseen wishes of them out of superstitions only. These superstitions don’t have any logical proofs, they are just hearsay and people obscurely follow them. It can be best realized by knowing the Animal sacrifice in Hinduism. Mass reproduction of animals for meat and further selling shows the unsympathetic feelings of man. Animal hoarding, racing and fighting shows depicts the true colors of humanity. They are used in laboratories for testing and in zoos and circuses for mere entertainment purposes.

Against it, virtuous people live lives that demonstrate virtue. They are generous, kind and compassionate. It is a fact that this cosmos is the inception of the supreme power. Entire formation on this sphere is created by his will. Life forms have same incarnation. They all belongs to the same father and a father doesn’t want the sacrifice and killing of his own children. Consequently, it’s a misconception that we make him happy by slaying some other living being. Subsequently, eating an animal’s flesh and then worshiping and praying to god and going to sacred places, on other side, we can’t prove ourselves correct. It’s a mere formality, cheating and blowing dust into one’s own eyes. In my opinion, I don’t think non-vegetarians are animal lovers.

Recent instance of animal neglecting and cruelty is seen in Kerala (India) where a pregnant female elephant was killed by giving her pineapple filled with explosives which she ate and died after it exploded. She was screaming in pain, standing in pond seeking for help but no body came forward to do the same. Cases are manifold across the country and world where animals are just being brutally killed for human purposes and mouth tastes.

Animals’ innocence is being tested all over the globe and we all are responsible for this torment. These beings are more loyal than humans. Many organisations like PETA are working towards the minimization of this maltreatment.

The suffering is unspoken. The pain is unbearable. The crime done due to spirit of adventure is heinous. Shrieking for mercy and forgiveness for the undone crime is felonious in the eyes of supreme being and can’t be forgiven.
